"The owl is one of the most curious creatures. A bird that stays awake when the rest of the world sleeps. They can see in the dark. I find that so interesting, to be mired in reality when the rest of the world is dreaming. What does he see and what does he know that the rest of the world is missing?"

Hot Tips for Extending Your Life and the Life of Your Candle

  • Extend Your Life NEVER leave your candle unattended.
  • They get lonely and angry.
  • You don't want to see a candle angry.
  • They are known to burn houses down.

ALWAYS burn your candle on a heatproof surface, away from annoyances such as:

  • breezes (can cause uneven burning),
  • pets,
  • small children,
  • curtains,
  • grand tapestries
  • and other dangle-ey, burn-ey flammable things.

NEVER burn your candle for longer than 3-4 hours at a time.

Glass containers, although tempered, can potentially become hotter than Lucifer's nether-regions. Also, sticking to these burn times will extend the overall life of your candle.

EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR CANDLE - SNIP THE TIP

Trim the wick by removing any carbon balls with a pair of scissors. This will ensure a nice healthy flame every time! Wick should be trimmed to no shorter than 5mm.

FOR ALL TINS AND GLASS CONTAINER CANDLES

Each burn MUST reach the edges of the container. Wax has a "memory" and will only burn as far as you allowed it to previously. Premature 'blow outs' lead to tunneling and precious wax wastage. So relax and give that baby time to reach its full melt pool.
